Initial situation
Deutsche Wohnen is one of the leading listed real estate companies in Germany and has its headquarters in Berlin. Partner companies carry out the maintenance of the technical equipment of the properties. The corresponding orders, service recording and invoicing were only partially mapped in IT-supported processes.
With growing structures, a continuous and automated process mapping became more and more necessary. Deutsche Wohnen recognised the need for optimisation and decided to create a largely automated process mapping in its own end system. In order to guarantee timely controlling and fast reaction times, the project goal was expanded to include the creation of “real-time” communication between the systems of Deutsche Wohnen AG and the external service providers.
Mission
Design and implementation of an EAI architecture in line with the project objectives. Secondary objectives were among others:
- Accompanying workshops
- Specification and implementation of necessary interfaces
- Expandable design of the architecture
Solution
SAP PI (EAI middleware) – Tools and support options available as standard for the implementation of integration scenarios with the necessary flexibility to adapt the system to the set requirements through own developments.
In addition to various interfaces with the standard tools of the SAP PI and the associated activities in the SAP ERP, additional solutions were developed and put into production (example: Integration of a Microsoft Azure environment using OAuth procedures).
